Tsoof

So this is the first of the commissioned image I got. It's Tzuf, a friend of mine. He gave me a hi-rez image of him and told me to draw him like one of the sysops, but with color. Now, I never really colored anything that's not a caricature or a comic. Never a realistic image. The most frustrating thing was shading the face with all it's grooved and bumps and stuff. It took me about four tries and different techniques of shading using gradients, smudges, air-brushing and so on until I decided to use the familiar one-tone shading for everything. And it came out actually good!
